Your profile
Your profile lives at my.boketto.app/settings. From there you can change your display name, set the currency you use most, and see how many free tabs you have left.
Display name
Your display name is what other tab members see when you appear in expenses, payments, and balances. It is editable any time and changes apply immediately for everyone you share a tab with.
If you leave the name blank, Boketto falls back to your email address.
Default currency
The default currency is used in two places:
- When you open a new tab, this currency is preselected as the tab's base currency. (You can still change it before creating the tab — but not after.)
- When you log a new expense, this currency is preselected on the amount field.
Changing your default doesn't affect tabs that already exist — each tab keeps the base currency it was created with. See Multi-currency support for more on how conversions work.
Free tabs remaining
The Account section of Settings shows how many free tab credits you have left. Everyone gets three free tabs for life. Each tab you create uses one credit; credits aren't refunded when you archive or delete a tab.
Once you're out of free credits you can still create more tabs at £2.99 each for 3 months. See Free credits and paid tabs for the full pricing rules.
Changing your email address
Your email address is how Boketto signs you in (via magic link), so it's not editable from Settings. If you've changed email and want to keep your tabs, history, and balances, get in touch and we'll move your account to your new address.
